This workshop focuses on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for LGBT and gender-diverse people, from students to families to staff. Participants will gain insights into the unique challenges faced by queer and gender nonconforming individuals and learn practical strategies for creating an atmosphere that respects and celebrates diversity. The workshop will cover essential topics such as understanding gender identity and expression, using inclusive language, and implementing policies that protect against discrimination and bullying. Through interactive activities, discussions, and resource sharing, educators will leave equipped to champion inclusivity and ensure all community members feel safe, valued, and empowered in their learning communities.
