This program is designed for Early Childhood Education (ECE) professionals to explore and discuss inclusion practices for disabilities and learning and behavior differences, as well as child development questions that come up in their classroom.

These monthly Zoom sessions take place during the Winter and Spring semester, and they are created as a space to ask questions and discuss issues relevant to disability inclusion and development. We look forward to helping answer your pressing questions and discussing any concerns you may have about your students.

Our monthly consultations for preschool professionals are an informal, drop-in discussion space to gain insight, connect with colleagues, and receive concrete ideas to take back to your classroom. The sessions are facilitated by Alison Sorscher, Inclusion Specialist, and Liora Brosbe, Senior Educator. Join us if you…

  • have a specific question or concern about an individual student or general behavior patterns,
  • want to learn about communication with parents regarding shared concerns about their child’s behavior,
  • are interested in tools for working as a team to address the needs of students with diverse learning needs, or
  • are looking for general support and connection with others balancing the demands of working in Jewish preschool while addressing the complex needs of kiddos displaying various challenges in the classroom.

Come as an individual or with other members of your team. Each session will utilize a facilitated conversation method to ensure that each participant’s concerns are addressed respectfully with the expectation that all topics that are discussed will be held confidentially out of respect for the students, families, and educators that we are supporting. We also encourage participants to engage in a shared problem solving process, share their own knowledge and experience, and uplift all in this important work we do.
