Learning the Tools to Support Young People Grappling With Climate Change
This fall, Adamah, the largest Jewish environmental organization in North America, launched Shamati, a new initiative providing Jewish educators the tools to support young people grappling with climate change. Shamati integrates Jewish ancestral wisdom, tradition, text, and ritual to help Jewish professionals support the wellbeing and resilience of Jewish youth in the face of climate emotions.
We are excited to bring the Shamati Initiative to Bay Area Jewish educators this winter.
- Aimed at: Educators and clergy who work with Jewish adolescents.
- Structure: One-time, in-person training.
- Facilitated by: Liana Rothman and Madeline Canfield.
- Date: Friday, January 17, 2025.
- Time: Lunch at 11:30 am. Program from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
- Location: Congregation Beth El, 1301 Oxford St., Berkeley, CA 94709.
- Cost: $36 per person.
