Teen Resilience and Balanced Students wtih Challenge Success and Jewish LearningWorks

How Jewish Educators Can Help Adolescents Thrive Through the Pressures of Achievement Culture

In a high-stakes, high-pressure culture, parent and school expectations may have unintentional but damaging effects on students. In this workshop we will learn about the primary drivers of chronic stress and anxiety for today’s teens, and the most effective ways that educators can respond to nurture well-being.

This spring workshop will be led by Challenge Success from the Stanford Graduate School of Education:

  • When: Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 10 – 11:30 am.
  • Where: Peninsula Temple Sholom in Burlingame, CA.

Elevating Student Voice and Agency

Please join us to explore practical ways in which you can help elevate the voice and agency of your teen students to deepen their engagement while increasing their well-being, and counter overload, sleep depravation, mental health issues, inauthentic social connections, and burnout.

The session will be highly interactive and participants will have the opportunity to build action plans that respond to the specific needs of their organization.

  • Aimed at: Educators and clergy who work with Jewish adolescents.
  • Structure: One-time, in-person training.
  • Facilitated by: Jeff Lippman of Challenge Success from Stanford University Graduate School of Education.
