How To Talk So Kids Will Listen
Do you get worn down by dawdling, defiance, or general mayhem? Could you use some alternatives to threats, bribes and punishment? Would you like to learn concrete, effective methods that will make life with children easier and more satisfying?
Julie King's interactive, entertaining, live-online workshop for parents and teachers of kids ages 5 to 12+ offers practical skills that promote cooperation, reduce conflicts, and strengthen relationships at home or school.

Teaching Format:

Group Size:
8–99+ participants
Ideal Duration of Training:
Introductory presentation is 1 to 1-1/2 hours (~45 minutes of presentation followed by Q&A). The full workshop is a series of 4 sessions of two hours each.
Additional notes:
I have led this training for professional/staff development, with staff together in one room. You can set up one large screen for everyone to see me, and a camera on the group, and a microphone passed around during interactive parts of the event. Alternatively, each participant can be on their own device (phone, laptop or computer), in their separate spaces (office or home). When I lead the workshop for parents, they are typically on separate devices at home or office.
For the 4-week workshop or training, participants will need access to the book How To Talk When Kids Won't Listen (Faber and King). They will also need a workbook that I provide by email.
