Mission
We Believe
At Jewish LearningWorks, we believe Jewish education is not optional—it is essential.
Just as math and language are the building blocks of secular learning, Jewish learning builds a foundation of resilience, meaning, and hope. It connects us to timeless values, equips us to face today’s challenges, and it ensures that future generations inherit both wisdom and courage from our tradition.
The values that shape who we are and what we teach are:
- Manhigut (leadership) that inspires growth
- Sakranut (curiosity) that fuels lifelong learning
- Kesher (connectedness) that binds us as one people
- Achrayut (mutual responsibility) that calls us to educate every Jewish child
- Hagshama Atzmit (personal fulfillment) that fills life with purpose and joy
Our commitment is clear: Jewish learning works.
We know that the best learning happens across generations, in community, and with educators who are role models of strength and spirit. We also know that spirituality must return to the heart of Jewish education, alongside social and emotional skills to foster personal transformation, and moral action. We train educators in every setting to help children and teens meet the world we live in, and the future yet to come. We are here to cultivate Jewish identity and belonging, one learner and one teacher at a time.

Our Strategic Plan
A Roadmap for Nurturing Educators to Build a Vibrant Jewish Community
In 2022, Jewish LearningWorks renewed its commitment to providing a wide array of high-caliber professional learning opportunities for educators regardless of their organizational setting, training or experience. We are proud to offer a diverse menu of professional development opportunities through the career lifecycle.
Thank you for joining us in recognizing and empowering the work of our children’s role models. Their contributions are the foundation of a thriving community. We look forward to sharing our accomplishments with you in the years ahead.
