Jewish LearningWorks is pleased to partner with Matan, a national leader in creating inclusive Jewish communities, to host 5 drop-in workshops to support Bay Area educators, lay leaders, and other Jewish communal professionals working toward systemic inclusion in their learning spaces and communities.
We welcome you to join us at this workshop, or any others in this Accessibility and Inclusion professional learning series.
- Topic: Understanding Autism.
- Overview: This interactive workshop is designed to help Jewish educators deepen their understanding of autism and how it impacts learners in Jewish educational settings. Participants will explore core characteristics of autism, common strengths and challenges, and practical strategies for creating inclusive classrooms rooted in Jewish values.
We will help people understand the many faces of autism, different ways that people may be affected and strategies to help children with autism be successful in the classroom. - Aimed at: All Jewish educators, lay leaders, and communal professionals across educational settings. Best for professionals in early childhood education, day schools, congregational schools and summer camps.
