Strategies and Lasting Impact of Wonder and Curiosity in Jewish Early Childhood Education

Judaism is inherently designed to spark curiosity and awe. This year, we have chosen to focus our professional learning for early childhood educators on myriad strategies for cultivating wonder, and curiosity through a Jewish lens.

We welcome you to join us at this workshop, or any others in our Jewish Foundations professional learning series for early childhood educators in the Bay Area.

  • Topic: Israel in Early Childhood Education: Embracing Complexity with Care.
  • Overview: Through an exploration of curriculum, books and materials we will explore ways of approaching Israel education for young children that honors both the complexity and diversity of life in Israel. Educators will learn how to incorporate Israel education in their classroom throughout the school year.
  • Aimed at: Early childhood educators working in Bay Area Jewish preschool settings.
  • Format: In-person workshop. Includes a vegetarian lunch, and a tour visit to the preschool at our host site.
  • Location: Congregation Emanu-El (2 Lake St. San Francisco, CA 94118).
  • Facilitated by: Yafit Shriki-Megidish, Chief Learning Officer at JCC East Bay.
