Jewish LearningWorks is excited to pilot Matan’s Early Childhood Inclusion Essentials course in the Bay Area community and beyond. This online coursework consists of three self-paced, asynchronous learning modules designed to help educators support children with diverse learning, developmental, sensory, and social-emotional needs in Jewish early childhood settings.

A NEW LENS TO OBSERVE CHILDREN AND TEACH

Jewish LearningWorks and Matan are teaming up to provide a new way to offer inclusion training to teachers in Jewish early childhood centers. The modules are intended to provide educators with a new lens to observe, reflect and teach the children in their classroom.

The three learning modules explore topics such as sensory needs, classroom observations, and communicating with families. We hope this course offers accessible entry points, in format and content, for you and your colleagues.

The learning arc of this online coursework is designed to equip educators with knowledge and practical strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.

MODULE 1

Supporting Sensory Needs in Early Childhood Classrooms: Practical Strategies for Educators

The goal of the first module is to equip early childhood educators with the knowledge and practical strategies to recognize sensory needs, understand how sensory processing impacts learning and behavior, and create inclusive classroom environments where every child can thrive. Contains four units.

Conversations That Matter: Partnering with Families in Jewish Early Childhood Settings

MODULE 3

Observation and Data-Driven Inclusion in Early Childhood Classrooms

Modules two and three are being developed. They will be available in the winter.

ACCESS THE COURSE

Enrollment is open. Module one is currently available. Modules two and three will be available in the winter. The modules are self-paced, so you can start, pause and return at any time.

  • Bay Area organizations: The fee to access all three modules is $45 for three educators, and $18 for each additional person from the same Bay Area organization.
  • Non-Bay Area organizations: The fee to access all three modules is $54 for three educators, and $18 for each additional person from the same non-Bay Area organization.
