The Library is open for in-person browsing and borrowing three days a week. The Library’s hours during the pandemic are Sundays from 12 pm to 4 pm and Mondays and Thursdays from 11 pm to 4 pm.
As safety is our priority, patrons using the Library must be masked and furnish proof of vaccination. Unvaccinated children are permitted in the Library on Sundays only.
Those who would prefer not to enter the building are welcome to use our “courtyard pickup” service by reserving materials in advance. After searching our catalog, you can reserve items by emailing library@jewishlearning.works, by calling 415.567.3327 ext. 704, or by logging in to your patron account in our catalog to place a hold. If you do not have an account, you can apply online here. You will then be informed when your items are ready to pickup in the garage at the Library’s main branch at 1835 Ellis Street.
The Pushcart branches at the JCCSF and the Oshman Family JCC currently remain closed. Items from those branches may be returned to the main branch (the drop box at the Ellis Street gate is always open) or mailed back to us at 1835 Ellis Street, San Francisco, CA 94115.
Please contact us at library@jewishlearning.works or 415.567.3327 ext. 704 to learn more. We would also be happy to help you take advantage of the Library’s eBook and audiobook program.
