How do you take a cataclysm and make it a catalyst? We believe the answer to this question involves engaging in creativity as a means of making transformational change.
Join the Rhea Hirsch School of Education of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s leadership team for a two-day learning experience on leading change in these challenging times. We will use hands-on creative processes and change theories to explore leading change — in ourselves, our institutions and communities, and in society. This series is designed for leaders and teachers in Jewish educational settings.
Together we will:
- Reflect on the process of creativity and how it serves as a means for making transformational change.
- Engage in Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, in order to explore how things are broken and repaired, and how it relates to our work as Jewish educators.
- Integrate the process of creativity and the steps we need to take to enact the societal, personal, or professional change that calls to us.
