Jewish LearningWednesdays are designed with plenty of time to share and ask questions. We encourage you to join with video whenever possible. No need to register for Jewish LearningWednesdays, but if you’re planning to join us and haven’t attended a Jewish LearningWorks program in the past, please send us your name in advance for security purposes. Thanks!

As we all grapple with the impact of Covid-19, caring for the hearts and souls of our children has become more important than ever. This year, JLW has planned a variety of learning opportunities to highlight best principles in social emotional learning (SEL). This summer, we’ll start with a three-part, drop-in book group, looking at a chapter from each of three books on the topic. Each session will include a facilitated discussion with Dana Sheanin on the selected chapter, with a particular focus on how to lean into SEL as we return to educational settings (virtual and in person) this fall.

This week’s selection: Ready or Not: Preparing Our Kids to Thrive in an Uncertain and Rapidly Changing World, Madeline Levine PhD (Chapter 7)

To receive an electronic copy of the selected chapter, please email adeena@jewishlearningworks.org.
