Jewish LearningWednesdays are designed with plenty of time to share and ask questions. We encourage you to join with video whenever possible. No need to register for Jewish LearningWednesdays, but if you’re planning to join us and haven’t attended a Jewish LearningWorks program in the past, please send us your name in advance for security purposes. Join local author Rachel Biale to talk about ways we can support parents in their expanded roles. Drawing on material from her new book What Now? 2 Minute Tips for Solving Parenting Challenges Rachel offers realistic and practical ideas for children ages birth to 10.  We will discuss how to respond to  parenting questions with an emphasis on issues that come up throughout the school year, such as separation difficulties, limit setting, the end of day meltdown, and play dates and social relationships.

Rachel Biale is a clinical social worker. She has worked as a therapist specializing in families and young children and has had a parenting counseling practice for well over 30 years. She worked as a clinician at Jewish Family and Community Services of the East Bay and wrote a parenting advice column in the J. – “Parenting for the Perplexed” (slated to return this fall). Her new book, “What Now? 2 Minute Tips for Solving Parenting Challenges” covers birth to 10 and will become your “parenting buddy/mentor” on this amazing journey.
