Born in 1967 in Ramat Gan, Etgar Keret is a master storyteller. The opening story of his newest collection, winner of the Sapir Prize, is a startling story of a father and son who witness a man atop a nearby building on the verge of suicide.

The story can be found published online on the website of the New Yorker here. We will read the story together and discuss it online.

Howard Freedman is the director of the Jewish Community Library.
